Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using SoulShell.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SoulShell (soulshell.xyz) — including the web application, dashboard, AI features, and related services (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SoulShell is a cognition operating system designed for neurodivergent users. The Service includes a workspace canvas, AI Mirror chat, task management (Dopamine Guard), and AI-powered synthesis of user-generated content. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SoulShell. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate email and profile information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities occurring under your account
• Notifying us of any unauthorized access

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create in SoulShell (notes, chats, tasks). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for:

• Providing AI responses via third-party models (Anthropic Claude)
• Storing content in our database
• Generating synthesis outputs

We do not sell, share, or use your content to train AI models.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Generate content that harms minors or violates laws
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
• Submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt operations
• Use automated systems to scrape or overload the Service

7. AI Features & Limitations

SoulShell uses third-party AI (Anthropic Claude). AI outputs are generated probabilistically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected content. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

8. $SHELL Token (Separate Terms)

The $SHELL utility token, launching April 27, 2026, is subject to additional terms described in the Tokenomics page and Risk Disclosure. Holding $SHELL grants access to premium features but does not represent ownership, equity, or entitlement to profits.

9. Intellectual Property

The SoulShell name, logo, design, and underlying code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data may be retained for up to 30 days before deletion.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOULSHELL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced on soulshell.xyz.
